Katarzyna Pisarska is Assistant Professor of English Literature at Maria Curie-Sk\u0142odowska University in Lublin, Poland, where she teaches courses on seventeenth- and eighteenth-century English literature, historical fiction, theories of literature and culture, and identity. She is the author of Mediating the World in the Novels of Iain Banks: The Paradigms of Fiction (2013) and co-editor of The Lives of Texts: Exploring the Metaphor (2012). She has published articles and book chapters on British and American literature and utopian cinema and fiction. Her main research interests focus on Scottish fiction, utopian studies, the Gothic, and myth in literature and culture.<\/span><\/p>\n
