Alimentopia, Utopian Foodways was a research project investigating the changing dynamics of food production and consumption. The project was hosted by ILCML and CETAPS and funded by FCT / COMPETE. With the help of partners, Alimentopia organised a range of activities focused on food consumption and utopian thinking. Even though, Alimentopia is no longer a funded project, CETAPS digital lab is responsible for continuing it’s heritage by organising various events connceted to the utopian foodways.

Over the years, Alimenopia hosted various projects concerning the role of food in scientific and literary works and everyday life. some of the most important projects include A Case Study: The Porto Vegetarians (1909-1935), UFoH and PAN Utopia.
