Raquel Silva – Consultant, researcher and lecturer in Terminology and related fields.
PhD in Linguistics (2014) in the areas of Lexicology and Terminology at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (FCSH UNL).
– Researcher in the Linguistic Centre of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (CLUNL), since 1993.
– Invited lecturer for the Master in Terminology and Management of Information for Special Purposes at FCSH / Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
– She participates in several research projects leading to the design and creation of terminological resources by developing and implementing work methodologies in Terminology. She is currently participating in a terminology project for the development of public administration in Angola- TERMAP-AO (2014-2019).
– She develops working methodologies on quality management in the areas of translation and terminology.
– Invited lecturer for the Master in Terminology and Management of Information for Special Purposes at the FCSH UNL, since 2006, where she has guided Master\’s dissertations (3 defended, 1 ongoing), co-guided PhD (1 ongoing) and integrated juries in Master and PhD.
– She provides terminology management services and linguistic consulting in the private sector, in the area of Translation and Localization, since 2005.
