Nesta conferência serão abordados os problemas relacionados com interpretações de SN’s numéricos como ‘dois vinhos’ e a sua relação com pseudo-partitivos como ‘dois copos de vinho’. Serão analisadas algumas propostas recentes sobre a distinção massivo/contável e será apresentada uma nova proposta.

This seminar will concern the interpretations of numerical NPs like “two wines” and their relation to full pseudo-partitives like “two glasses of wine”.
The puzzles posed by the interpretations of NPs like “two wines” in English will be explained from the point of view of some current approaches to the count/mass distinction, and an outline of a new analysis will be presented.
